Every day, Daily Red gives Pokémon fans a battle puzzle with a rather unusual catch: nobody gets to choose their team. The game hands you six randomly selected Pokémon, all at level 100, and sends you to Mt. Silver to challenge Red. Your lineup might look unbeatable on paper, but that doesn't mean it can handle everything waiting on the other side.
The challenge resets at midnight local time, giving everyone the same fresh team for the day. That makes it possible to compare strategies with friends instead of wondering whether someone simply had better luck with their lineup.
Red always brings the same six Pokémon, starting with Pikachu before sending out Espeon, Snorlax, Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise. Knowing the lineup in advance is useful, but getting through it is another matter entirely.
Pikachu's electric attacks can cause trouble for the wrong opponent, while Snorlax may become a serious obstacle if your team lacks a reliable answer. The remaining Pokémon bring their own type matchups and potential threats. There is no grinding for stronger creatures or changing your roster before the fight. The team you receive is the team you have to work with.
Daily Red rewards players who take time to inspect their Pokémon's moves, abilities, and weaknesses. A creature with an obvious type advantage might still struggle against an unexpected move, so predicting Red's next decision matters. Sometimes preserving a useful Pokémon for a later matchup is more valuable than winning the current exchange.
The game records wins, total battles, win percentages, and winning streaks in your browser. Once a match ends, you can share a color-coded emoji grid showing how many Pokémon survived without revealing the battle's solution.
Daily Red turns a familiar Pokémon showdown into a compact test of planning and prediction. With a different team every day but the same opponent, each reset brings a new puzzle to solve and another chance to finally take down Red.
